The river front. The oldest part of Violet City, from when the main business of the town was a half way point between the coast and Ecruteak along the river -- a transportation route for goods to and from Kanto. However as vehicles got better, but larger, the river routes became less and less used, until Goldenrod became the main transportation hub of Johto, and the Violet City ports became disused. Now one of the first stops for new trainers (and also being in a prime spot for older trainers looking to avoid the busy streets of Goldenrod) it deals mostly in training goods and supplies, still the town is small and quiet and the only long term locals are the Bellsprout monks and the aged.

1:30am that means it's Sunday!
So my goal is to upload every Sunday now, to keep myself on track, allowing for good excuses, such as next week where I have two exams, but the next 'page' is a two page spread, so while it might be a week late, it'll be two pages, k?
